Read arrows as energy transfer, then describe an uncertainty.

A deliberately small model

The model includes selected feeding relationships, not every food source or consumer. Arrows point from a food resource to its consumer. Plants capture energy rather than obtaining it by eating another organism in this model.

If a resource declines, identify one direct relationship and one possible indirect effect. Population size and timing cannot be predicted from these links alone. Do not disturb organisms while making real observations.
